I know I said I wasn't going to post a new design today, but
I couldn't resist. This design came to me one morning as I was waking up and I had to put it together. The best of both worlds....frosted sugar cookies and chocolate chip. Yum.

The assignment this week was to create a Get Well
bouquet for a baby sitter of a baby girl. This is what the artist in me came up with. I think it is pretty cute (if I do say so myself).

This weeks post is coming a day early. Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday and our Steelers are playing. Not to mention that the Valentine orders are starting to come in, so I must get busy baking.

Thanks Lajassa for this week's order!

Thank you to all the service men and women who fight for our freedoms every day. This one is for the superindentent of the Harlan school district who deploys later this week. Be safe.

Super Bowl XVL will feature our favorite team and we can't wait for the game. This arrangement shows the Steelers' logo (which did get a little funny around the 'Steelers' name) with Green Bay, and XVL)45 in Roman numerals) along with a start in the back and football in the front. A nice gift to take to your Super Bowl party or to have on your snack table for the game.

This week has been very busy for Crilly's Creations. Due Thursday were 15 bouquets for someone wanting to give them out at a meeting. The theme of the bouquets were Peterson Wellness Center. Each bouquet centered around one aspect of the wellness center with one cookie in each arrangement displaying the Peterson Wellness Center logo (or my free handed attempt at it). I have not heard from the purchaser to know if they were well received or approved....hope they were enjoyed.
The picture on the left was for a co-worker who wanted something funny and cute for her father's birthday. I decided to go with a dinosaur theme, but the caption was a stumper all week. I had my husband and a few friends trying to think of something cleaver, but it wasn't until these cookies went in the oven, that "Pets of Your Youth" came to mind. The names of the 'pets' are Spot, Rex, King and Spike. It was fun creating this one.
Thanks to this week's customers, Kelli and Tamara. See you all next week....hoping to be posting my Valentine's designs.

Fundraiser for Ryan DeMott (bouquet)

This bouquet was donated to a fundraiser for Ryan DeMott. He is a little boy from Harlan who was severly burned in an accident on October 16, 2010. The fundraiser was held on Saturday January 15 and raised over $69,000!

Where have I been!

It has been so long since I have posted anything....I am going to try to be much better at it. Here is one of my latest designs.
